This course is educational and practice-based: you’ll learn nervous system foundations and simple somatic tools you can use in real life, but it isn’t therapy and it doesn’t replace the support of a licensed mental health professional. A lot of people with trauma histories take this course and find it helpful, and it’s completely okay if the work brings up emotion, memory, or body sensations (as this is nervous system material and that can happen). The key is pacing and support: you’re in charge of how you engage, and you’re always allowed to pause or step away if something feels like “too much” or leaves you feeling ungrounded. If you notice yourself getting overwhelmed or destabilized, take that seriously, slow down, and consider bringing in outside support (a therapist, trusted provider, or crisis support if needed) before continuing.

What is SENSR?
What IS Somatic Experiencing and Nervous System Regulation?
Â
Somatic Experiencing is an approach to processing emotions through the nervous system (as opposed to just the mind).
Have you ever felt like you know all the logical things, but they don’t touch the part of you that feels hopeless, stuck, or afraid?
There is often a disconnect between what the mind understands and what the body has yet to release.
The SENSR course helps bridge that gap.
Â
Whether you’re dealing with patterns you can't break, anxiety, or hopelessness,
SENSR gives you the foundation to understanding what's happening between your mind and body.Â

This course is your first step.Â

This course will give you
The foundation you need
You'll gain understanding of:
- Why everyone is talking about “nervous system regulation” these days — and what it has to do with your eating and body image
- What regulation tools are actually for instead of using them as another wellness-culture tactic
- How to find a sense of safety in the body
- Compassion for why our actions sometimes don't match up with our values or goals (and how to work with this)
- Hearing how your body speaks through its own language so you’re not constantly overriding it with the logical mind
Â
This course is relevant whether you are doing food/body image recovery work, have already done it, or haven’t begun yet.
This is what
you'll get:
- Six live group calls
- A somatic audio library to build your practice and understanding (you can listen from anywhere!)
- Six weeks of content including theory and practice with a steady, down-to-earth approach. Each weekly session includes presentation, practice, and Q&A.
- Video recordings of all sessions (available for 3 months) + a WhatsApp group for peer connection throughout the course.
You'll end the course understanding how to use your body to help you move through stress cycles so food and thoughts don't have to do all the work!
